A Variety of Roles for Everyone
Parrot welfare takes more than bird handling. Behind every rescue, educational initiative, event and welfare effort is a team of volunteers contributing in different ways.
You may be someone skilled or interested in organising, administration, design, photography, social media content creation, videography, fundraising, education, volunteer coordination, welfare work or technical support. Or perhaps you simply have the time and willingness to learn and contribute. Every skill and contribution matters.
As we continue growing and expanding our initiatives, we welcome volunteers who are open to learning, trying new things and learning together through the journey.
Ways You Can Help
- Events & Logistics: Registration, event setup and tear-down, visitor engagement, booth support, activity facilitation, coordination, and operations
- Welfare & Education: Welfare support, fostering support, adoption support, educational outreach, workshop facilitation, public speaking, webinar support, and educational content
- Fundraising & Partnerships: Fundraising initiatives, sponsorship outreach, donor engagement, merchandise support, and partnership development
- Social Media & Content Creation: Graphic design, branding, social media management, content planning, copywriting, article writing, photography, videography, reel creation, and video editing
- Volunteer & Community Support: Volunteer recruitment, onboarding, volunteer engagement, coordination, and community management
- Administration & Organisation: Administrative support, documentation, scheduling, inventory management, spreadsheets, and record keeping
- Technical & Digital Support: Website support, IT support, automation, systems, analytics, and technical troubleshooting
- Language & Communication Support: Translation, long-form writing, proofreading, and multilingual support
- Managerial roles: If you have prior experience with, and good at managing people and ensuring deliverables are completed on time, we’ll need your help!
- General Helping Hands: Flexible support for ad-hoc activities and projects where needed
What to Expect
- Opportunities may be one-off, ongoing (continuous) or project-based
- Some roles may not have immediate openings
- No prior parrot experience is required for many roles
- Communication takes place mainly through WhatsApp and occasionally email

Welfare Team

To join the Welfare team, you will need to either start from being a Welfare Assistant or Interviewer, or have proven aptitude and commitment through other volunteer roles in PSS.
